Advanced RSVP Management
Master all response and guest management options for your events
RSVP Options Overview
RSVP settings give you precise control over how guests respond to your invitations and how you manage their attendance.
These options can be configured in the RSVP Settings section of the configuration panel when creating or editing an event.
Enable or Disable RSVPs
The RSVP system is at the heart of guest management on Evnyo.
Benefits of Enabled RSVPs
- Real-time tracking of guest responses
- Automatic capacity management
- Integrated waitlist system
- Detailed attendance analytics
- Automated guest reminders
- Digital check-in on event day
When RSVPs Are Disabled
The event becomes informational only. Guests can view details but cannot confirm their attendance.
Require Manual Approval
This option allows you to manually review each registration before it's confirmed.
How Manual Approval Works
- 1Guest requests to attend via the RSVP form
- 2Their request appears in your list with 'Pending' status
- 3You receive a notification of the new request
- 4You can approve or decline from your dashboard
- 5Guest receives a confirmation or decline email
Automatic Waitlist
When manual approval is enabled, the waitlist is automatically activated and cannot be disabled. This ensures consistent management of pending requests.
Incompatibilities
- • 'Maybe' option: automatically disabled as approval requires a definitive response
- • RSVP styles: disabled (only classic style remains available)
- • Cost sharing (Chip-in): incompatible with manual approval
Waitlist System
The waitlist helps manage registrations when maximum capacity is reached.
With Manual Approval
The waitlist is automatically enabled and works as follows:
- 1. All requests are pending approval
- 2. You approve up to maximum capacity
- 3. Subsequent requests remain on the waitlist
- 4. If an approved guest cancels, you can approve someone from the waitlist
Without Manual Approval
The waitlist is optional and requires a defined maximum capacity:
- 1. First guests are automatically confirmed up to capacity
- 2. Subsequent guests are placed on the waitlist
- 3. If a confirmed guest cancels, the first waitlisted guest is automatically promoted
- 4. Waitlisted guests receive notification when promoted
Activation Requirements
Without manual approval, the waitlist requires maximum capacity to be defined.
Guest Management (Plus-ones)
Allow your guests to bring companions to your event.
Available Options
- No plus-ones: Guests attend alone
- +1 to +9: Maximum number of companions per guest
How It Works
- 1. Guest indicates number of companions during RSVP
- 2. Total number (guest + companions) counts toward capacity
- 3. Organizer sees breakdown: number of primary guests and total with companions
- 4. Reminders include confirmed companion count
Best Practices
- Account for companions in your total capacity
- Clearly state if companions are welcome in the description
- For formal events, limit to +1
- For social events, increase the limit as needed
'Maybe' Option
Add a third response option for undecided guests.
Availability
The 'Maybe' option is only available when manual approval is disabled.
Management Impact
- 'Maybe' responses don't count toward used capacity
- They appear separately in your statistics
- You can send them targeted reminders
- Useful for informal events or distant dates
RSVP Presentation Styles
Choose how response options appear to your guests.
Classic
Traditional buttons with text (Yes / Maybe / No)
Icons
Visual symbols: ✓ for Yes, ? for Maybe, ✕ for No
Emoji

Custom styles are only available when manual approval is disabled.
Incompatibility Chart
Some options cannot be used together to ensure a consistent experience.
- Manual approval + Cost sharing = Incompatible
- Manual approval + 'Maybe' option = Incompatible
- Manual approval + Custom RSVP styles = Limited to classic style
- Waitlist without maximum capacity = Cannot be activated
Usage Tips
For formal corporate events: Enable manual approval and disable plus-ones
For casual social events: Enable 'Maybe' option and allow companions
For limited capacity events: Set capacity and enable waitlist
For paid events: Don't use manual approval to enable chip-in
