Setting Date and Time for My Event
Learn how to set the perfect date and time for your event, manage timezones, and understand the grace period rules.
How Date & Time Selection Works
Setting a date and time is mandatory for every event. This information helps guests plan their schedule and automatically adds the event to their calendar.
Start Date & Time
Select when your event begins. This is required and cannot be changed after the grace period or once invitations are sent.
End Date & Time (Optional)
Specify when your event ends. This helps guests plan their day and shows the event duration in their calendar.
Timezone Selection
Choose the timezone for your event location. This ensures guests in different regions see the correct local time.
Timezone Selection
Choose from major timezones worldwide to indicate where your event takes place.
Clear Display
Event time is displayed with its timezone (e.g., 3:00 PM Paris GMT+1) to prevent confusion.
Important: Grace Period Rules
After publishing your event, you have a 1-hour grace period to make changes to the date and time. Don't worry: this period can be paused if needed.
During Grace Period (1 hour)
You can freely modify date, time, and timezone settings. If you pause your event, the grace period is suspended and will resume when you republish the event. This gives you time to double-check everything without pressure.
After First Invitation Sent
Sending the first invitation ends the grace period and permanently locks the date and time. Your guests can then plan their attendance with confidence.

Best Practices
Consider your audience's timezone and schedule events at convenient times. Avoid early mornings or late evenings unless necessary.
Include buffer time for setup and networking. A 2-hour meeting might need a 2.5-hour time slot.
For international events, clearly mention the primary timezone in your event title or description.
Double-check daylight saving time transitions if your event is near a change date.
